Laurence O. has released a WordPress plugin that automatically links to and displays passages from the ESV when you mention a Bible reference on your blog.
In some ways it’s similar to Chris Roberts’s plugin that we talked about a couple of weeks ago. The new plugin doesn’t require you to use markup to indicate Bible references, however.
The plugin has four main features:
- Automatic linking of Bible references and displaying of passages.
- Extensive administrative options. You can control how passages will appear directly from Administration panel—edit both CSS and web service options.
- “Two-click” installation.
- An optional show/hide link for passages. (Example–click the [+/-] link near the top of the page.)
