Crossway is a sponsor for this year’s Godblog Conference, held this weekend at the BlogWorld and New Media Expo in Las Vegas. We have been a part of GodblogCon since the first conference in 2005.
We are grateful for how this gathering encourages Christians to be thinking hard about new media and how the church can use these technologies to engage culture for the cause of Christ.
Coinciding with GodblogCon 2008 is the publication of The New Media Frontier: Blogging, Vlogging, and Podcasting for Christ, edited by John Mark Reynolds and Roger Overton, both of whom will be speaking at the event.
Here’s what blogger Tim Challies says about The New Media Frontier:
Whether or not we care to admit it and whether or not we are even aware of it, as a society we have crossed into a new media frontier. Before us and all around us are new opportunities for service, for ministry, and for impacting this world for Christ. Today many Christians are looking for guidance as they seek to understand this new reality and as they attempt to properly react to it. The New Media Frontier is the first place I would send these people. Timely, practical and often profound, this book is a valuable guide to the challenges and opportunities that demand our attention today. I highly recommend it.
