Memorizing Psalm 103

Josh at Occupied with the Word, inspired by someone memorizing Ephesians, decided to memorize Psalm 103:

So far this has been an immense blessing. Yes, it’s work. But the blessing has come in the fruit of the labor: the choice nuggets gleaned from studying what I’m memorizing.

The great thing about memorizing Scripture is that you can go at your own pace: you don’t have to be ambitious and try to memorize an entire book. Try something shorter—even a single verse. If you have a blog, you can follow Jason’s lead and share what you learn as you memorize (or not; it’s up to you).

The Power of Words and the Wonder of God

This weekend is the 2008 Desiring God National Conference in Minneapolis.  This year’s theme is The Power of Words and the Wonder of God.

Join us in praying for all those traveling and for the speakers, Sinclair Ferguson, Paul Tripp, Dan Taylor, Mark Driscoll, Bob Kauflin, and John Piper.  May the Lord grant them each timely, effective, and faithful words to serve the church in thinking about and employing God’s gift of language.
