Win Registration to the Gospel Coalition Conference
The Gospel Coalition 2009 National Conference is next month, April 21-23, in Rosemont, Illinois (outside Chicago).
We mentioned this several months back, sharing the list of plenary speakers and workshop topics and teachers, which includes several Crossway authors.
Today, we’d like to launch a contest giving you a chance to win one of five free registrations to this conference (a $250 value).
The Rules
There are three different ways to enter (you pick), each requiring that you email your entry to blog[at]crossway[dot] org.
- The Plenary Sessions—led by John Piper, Phil Ryken, Mark Driscoll, K. Edward Copeland, Bryan Chapell, and Ligon Duncan—will expound the book of Second Timothy. What verses in 2 Timothy have had the greatest impact on your life or ministry?
- Which of the conference workshops would you most like to attend and why?
- Many of the conference speakers have written books. Share with us how one of their books has influenced your life and ministry. (Note: It does not have to be a Crossway book!)
Announcement of Winners
Next Friday, March 13th we will announce the five winners (randomly selected) and share our favorite entries.
Please pray that God will have mercy on our country, and that our people will repent and and turn to our Lord and Savior.
May God bless your conference,
Sal Esposito
I’m prone to be nice and say that so many of these authors’ books have impacted my ministry and life. That would mostly be true, but to be honest, God has used John Piper’s Let the Nations be Glad in the deepest way - actually its not even close. In brief, my thinking went from “Missions as a necessary evil” (”I suppose I ought to evangelize otherwise nobody will get saved”) to “Missions as a wonderful privilege and opportunity to give God more glory” (”I can’t help but to evangelize!”)
I’d like to go to Stephen Um’s workshop “On Ministry and Revolving Doors: Practical Challenges and Ideas for Ministry in a Mobile Society”. I’m big into electronics and gadgets, and I’d like to learn how I can better use those things for ministry purposes.
