Ajith Fernando addresses three challenges to evangelism that people face worldwide and how we can maintain a passion for evangelism. Here’s a brief preview, but be sure to check out the video for the full context:
- There is great opposition to the Christian belief in absolute truth. As a result we are often pinned as arrogant. The best way to combat this is by being a servant in the community.
- There is a much wider mission of the church—including relief, development, and justice. Human need issues and temporary needs often pull easier at heart strings than the eternal need of people. As a result, it’s more esteemed by society at large and there are more funds allocated to it. Because these needs never cease, it’s easy to neglect evangelism.
- There are ever-present government regulations.
