Announcing 8 New TGC Booklets

Original Post by DA Carson and Tim Keller at The Gospel Coalition

We’re pleased to announce the release of 8 new TGC (The Gospel Coalition) Booklets. The Gospel Coalition is a fellowship of churches and Christians from many different denominations that are united not only by belief in the biblical gospel but also by the conviction that gospel-centered ministry today must be strengthened, encouraged, and advanced. Several Council members and like-minded friends have written the initial eight booklets on a variety subjects of crucial doctrinal importance:

  • Gospel-Centered Ministry (D. A. Carson and Timothy Keller)
  • Creation (Andrew M. Davis)
  • The Holy Spirit (Kevin L. DeYoung)
  • The Restoration of All Things (Sam Storms)
  • The Church: God’s New People (Timothy Savage)
  • What Is the Gospel? (Bryan Chapell)
  • Can We Know the Truth? (Richard D. Phillips)
  • The Plan (Colin S. Smith)

We pray God will use these booklets to grow your appreciation for the biblical gospel and deepen your commitment to gospel-centered ministry.

To give you a sense for the series and help you respond to current controversies, we’re making available a free PDF of Storms’s booklet, The Restoration of All Things. He’ll help you think through judgment, hell, and eternal punishment in the context of God’s work to redeem his people and restore the natural creation.

  1. These books all look fantastic…but, just out of curiosity, is there any chance that these (and any new titles which come out in this series) might eventually be released together in a single volume? I think that would be wonderful, and it could kind of serve as a “Gospel Coalition handbook” of sorts, since these books are all being released as representing the ministry.

Also – is there any word on the new “Together for the Gospel” book yet? I’m very anxious to see the finished product from that wonderful conference! Please know that Crossway is my VERY favorite publisher, and I simply can’t say enough about all of the wonderful books that you produce. Thanks so much for all that you do – and thanks for helping me out with these questions!

  2. Hi Josh,

Currently there is no plan to publish the T4G 2010 content. There will be a compilation of the TGC booklets down the road, but we’re looking at 2012 or 2013.

  3. Angie,

Thank you for the response. I am certainly disappointed to hear that the third T4G conference isn’t making it into print, as I had thought it would (The first two books are so good!!!), but I am also pleased to hear that you will eventually bind together all of the Gospel Coalition booklets. I appreciate the update!
