Russell Moore explains how Jesus’ temptations in the desert can be paradigmatic for our daily battles against temptation—from Satan’s undermining the fatherhood of God to his encouragement for Jesus to essentially build his own kingdom apart from God. “Part of our problem when we’re facing temptation is that sometimes we’ll have Bible verses about what we’re wrestling against, Moore explains. “But we don’t see where Jesus meets whatever it is that we’re being tempted by and how being found in Christ we have all that and more.” This is well worth a few minutes of your time! Did you know that April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM)? The goal of SAAM is to raise public awareness about sexual violence and educate communities on how to prevent sexual violence. The SAAM campaign explores common, everyday abuses and offers individuals viable, responsible ways to intervene.
During SAAM we want to raise awareness about Justin and Lindsey Holcomb’s new book Rid of My Disgrace: Hope and Healing for Victims of Sexual Assault.
