Weekly Specials – Preaching the Word

In 1 Timothy 4:1-2, the Apostle Paul issues a solemn charge to Timothy and to all the pastors and elders who follow in his footsteps: preach the Word.

Designed to support pastors and elders carrying out this crucial command, Crossway’s Preaching the Word commentary series combines rigorous scholarly insights related to the biblical text with wise pastoral reflections aimed at helping preachers apply God’s Word to the lives of their hearers.

Our hope is that the four commentaries listed below will assist you in your study of the Word—whether you’re a pastor preparing to preach on Sunday or a layperson seeking to go deeper in your own personal devotions.

  1. The ebook version of 1 John is listed as $3.99 above but it’s not reduced on your site. Is this correct? Thanks

  3. Are the Logos versions of these books going to be included in the deal? I noticed you mention Vyrso in the post, but these books aren’t Vyrso books but rather Logos ones.

  4. Todd,

    Thanks for the question.

The weekly e-book specials are only for e-book files, not for licenses (like Logos’ study platform). Logos makes the vast majority of our titles available one way or another, either through their study platform (as a licensed product) or through Vyrso (as an ebook). The more study-oriented materials (like commentaries) usually end up on their study platform, and more popular-level books usually end up in Vyrso. Unfortunately, the Preaching the Word commentary series is not available via Vyrso at this time.

    Sorry for the confusion!
