What exactly has God called the church to do?

In this video, pastor Jeff Vanderstelt explains why he no longer tells people to "go be Jesus" among the lost. God has not called us to be Jesus, but rather be filled by Jesus as we proclaim the gospel and serve those around us.

The good news of the gospel is that God not only wants to save us from our sins, but he also wants to dwell in us by his Spirit—so that it's not us trying to work for God, but rather him working through us for his glory and the salvation of the lost.
