Giveaway: ESV Student Study Bible and Dig Deeper

This week we’re giving away two resources for anyone looking to grow in their study of the Bible. The first is our recently released ESV Student Study Bible. The second is the book Dig Deeper: Tools for Understanding God’s Word.

The ESV Student Study Bible was adapted from the original ESV Study Bible and is a slimmer, streamlined version of the original that also incorporates a fresh format and new content geared for a student audience.

Dig Deeper was written by Nigel Beynon and Andrew Sach and presents sixteen tools for reading the Bible and understanding it correctly.

Here’s how the giveaway’s going to work: we love equipping our readers with helpful resources, but we also love it when our readers do the same for others. So three winners will receive two copies each of the ESV Student Study Bible (hardcover) and Dig Deeper. They can keep one set for themselves and give the other away.

Leave a comment on who you would give these resources to, and why you think they would benefit from them. Winners will be chosen and notified on August 26th (US and Canada only).

Update: The winners have been chosen. Thanks everyone for your participation!

Today we’re announcing Crossway Impact—a rewards program for readers who want to read good books AND make an impact.

Crossway Impact is designed to reward you with the following annual benefits:

  • 3 FREE books (choose print or e-books from a monthly updated list)
  • 25% OFF all your purchases on Crossway.org
  • Free shipping on orders over $50
  • Exclusive monthly offers

Crossway Impact is also designed to extend the impact of every book you buy. We’re going to send 5% of the money you spend at Crossway.org to a ministry of your choice. For the first year of the program, we’re making these benefits available to as many Crossway readers as possible by letting you determine the value of your rewards (worth at least $40 in free books alone!). The only thing you have to do is name your own membership fee.

It’s as simple as that.

Crossway Impact Members get a year-long discount, free books and shipping, special offers, and the chance to make an impact with every purchase.

Blog Reviewer Giveaway: “The Greener Grass Conspiracy”

Do you ever wonder how it’s possible to be so blessed and so unhappy at the same time? To have more than any generation in history and still crave more?

Author Stephen Atlrogge says that there’s a conspiracy affecting every person who has ever lived. A conspiracy between the world, our hearts, and Satan himself to steal our joy. Together they breed discontentment with our possessions, relationships, jobs, and circumstances.

  • The world lies to us. It tells us we’ll be happy if we buy more things, have more fun, drink more beer, purchase a bigger house, climb the career latter, stay single, get married. The world makes big, fat, promises of immediate pleasure.
  • Satan lies to us. He says God is holding good back from us, that he doesn’t want us to be happy, and that if God really loved us – we wouldn’t be sick, struggle financially, etc. Satan slanders God’s character and goodness. He’s happy as long as we’re not happy in God.
  • Our hearts play along with the world and with Satan. It tells me I need to have certain things and I need them now. A new TV, a salary bump, a house, children, to be married, etc.

In The Greener Grass Conspiracy, Altrogge helps us battle discontentment with the central truths of the gospel.

Blog reviewer giveaway. Are you are a blogger and interested in reviewing this title? We’d be happy to send a free copy if you agree to post a review on your blog and on Amazon by April 30, 2011 (the official release date). We’ll be sending review copies to the first 100 bloggers to comment on this post expressing interest and providing their blog URL. Enjoy!

Note: US and Canada only.
Contest closed March 28th. We’ll in contact with winners shortly. Thanks for participating!
