How do I download files?
After you’ve placed the product in your shopping cart and checked out, we’ll provide you a link to a page where you can download the files you’ve bought.
What size are the files?
We’ve split the complete Bible into nine .zip files. Each .zip file is available in different sizes, depending on the product you choose:
- 128 kbps - Highest quality, largest file size. Each .zip file is about 400 MB, or about 4 GB for the whole Bible. Each .zip file takes about two hours to download through a broadband connection. (Hear the Word sample.)
- 64 kbps - High quality, largest file size. Each .zip file is about 200 MB, or about 2 GB for the whole Bible. Each .zip file takes about an hour to download through a broadband connection. (Hear the Word sample, Listener’s Bible sample)
- 32 kbps - Good compromise between quality and file size. Each .zip file is about 100 MB, or about 1 GB for the whole Bible. Each .zip file takes about half an hour to download through a broadband connection. (Hear the Word sample, Listener’s Bible sample)
- 16 kbps - Lowest quality, smallest file size. Each .zip file is about 50 MB, or about 500 MB for the whole Bible. Each .zip file takes about fifteen minutes to download through a broadband connection. (Listener’s Bible sample)
How do I pick which size to download?
We suggest you download the highest quality you can. You may want to download several .zip files at a time overnight.
You can always come back and download a different quality.
What do I do after downloading my files?
We’ve compressed the individual mp3s into .zip files, which need to be uncompressed before you can use them. Your computer probably already handles .zip files fine. Just open the downloaded files and move the folders inside the .zip file to wherever you want (probably your “My Music” or iTunes folder).
If nothing happens when you try to open the files, you may need to download software. We suggest the free program 7-Zip.
How long do I have to download the files?
You will have at least a year to download the files you buy, and probably longer than that. You don’t need to download the files all at once. The files are yours to keep once you’ve downloaded them; they don’t expire. You may want to keep a backup copy of the files in case something happens to your computer.
Are the files copy-protected? Can I share them with my friends?
The audio files are plain MP3s and are not digitally copy-protected in any way. However, the audio is protected under copyright law, and you may not make copies for others.
Why do I have to pay with a credit card online?
We provide you with immediate access to the MP3 files, so we need to verify your payment at the time of your purchase.
Are there any international restrictions?
Yes. We can’t sell the MP3s to customers in the EU, including the UK, due to licensing and legal restrictions. We apologize for any inconvenience.
You may have to pay VAT to your government based on the price of the download.
