Sales Rep - Part Time

Description: The Sales Representative contributes to Crossway’s sales and customer service efforts by responding to external and internal inquiries via telephone, chat and email. They ensure our customers receive the superior customer experience that is a part of Crossway’s core values.

Responsibilities:

  1. Being on hand in the sales area to answer calls promptly and professionally throughout the workday, checking alternate phone lines for messages and returning calls.
  2. Providing courteous and efficient service to customers who make inquiries or place orders by phone or e-mail.
  3. Accurately entering orders while on the phone with customers, providing closure and confirmation at the time of the sale, and following up on special orders as necessary.
  4. Receiving, printing out and processing or distributing orders, requests, and questions coming through the sales e-mail, as assigned.
  5. Entering other orders (fax, mail, internet, conferences) as needed. This may include special market, author, and international orders as assigned.
  6. Updating customer database information.
  7. Packing and mailing catalogs, review copies, new customer packets and other items as requested.
  8. Assisting the Marketing department in sending review copies, influencer copies, publicity materials, and author mail, and in filing reviews.
  9. Adhering to a daily schedule to ensure department phone coverage over the lunch hour, during conventions, and around holidays.
  10. Participating in sales conferences and department meetings for training in products and selling techniques.
  11. Other office duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  3. Personal initiative, persistence, and diligence
  4. Pleasant and professional phone manner
  5. Growing knowledge of Good News/Crossway products and programs
  6. Ability to work well within the department and with other departments
  7. Dependability, promptness, and consistent work attendance
  8. Commitment to excellence and personal growth
  9. Demonstration of spiritual maturity and agreement with company goals and ministry
  10. College degree preferred
