Director of Sales
Location: Wheaton, IL

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration
Work Experience: At least 2 year(s) in publishing
Travel: Up to 40%
Job Duties:
- Collect and interpret complex data to target the most promising areas and determine the most effective sales strategies within the Christian publishing industry;
- Setting programs and sales strategy for Bibles and Christian books;
- Supervise the sales teams including key account managers, in-house sales representatives, international sales, outside commission rep groups and special market reps;
- Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service.
- Plan and direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales and service programs.
- Determine price schedules and discount rates.
- Review operational records and reports to project sales and determine profitability.
- Monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts.
- Prepare budgets and approve budget expenditures.
- Direct and coordinate activities involving sales of Christian books, Bibles and other religious literature;
- Confer with potential customers;
- Represent the company at major exhibits and events.
