IT Support Specialist

Reports To: Director-Information Technology

Description: Crossway has an opening for a challenging entry level IT position in a dynamic work environment, filled with opportunities for learning and problem solving.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide technical assistance to computer system users concerning the use of computer hardware, operating systems and software.
  2. Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cable, operating systems, and appropriate software.
  3. Troubleshoot and perform repairs to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment following design or installation specifications.
  4. Researching technical problems and resolutions referring major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for service.
  5. Assisting Senior IT members with server maintenance.
  6. Contribute to team projects.
  7. Create reports and posting in publishing software system.

Skills Required:

  1. Must have completed college courses in computer hardware and software.
  2. Hands on experience with Windows & Apple operating systems.
  3. Experience with server operating systems.
  4. Hands on experience with computer hardware and software.
  5. Good troubleshooting skills and decision-making abilities required.
  6. HTML knowledge.

Front Desk Attendant / Customer Service Representative

Description: To assist in the customer service department and maintain the reception area.

Responsibilities:

  1. Welcomes visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
  2. Directs visitors by maintaining employee and department directories; giving instructions.
  3. Maintains a safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  4. Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  5. Maintains relationships with customers by resolving issues via e-mail, phone or fax.
  6. Maintains our bookshop by checking stock and appearance daily and assisting walk-ins or fax.
  7. Contributes to the team by handling incoming mail, orders and invoices.
  8. Perform related and/or special work as assigned.

Skills Required: Self starter, people oriented, excellent communication skills, customer service experience, computer skills.

Personal Qualities: Must have a love for God’s Word and his church. A commitment to an evangelical, historic Reformation understanding of the Bible, the gospel, and Christian doctrine. A genuine faith in Jesus Christ as one’s Lord and Savior, and active participation in a local church. Energetic, organized, and self-motivated.

Customer Service / Credit Rep

Description: To assist in the customer service department.

Responsibilities:

  1. Handle customer inquiries over the phone and in e-mail.
  2. Work with customers in resolving complaints and problems.
  3. Keep up to date technical logs.
  4. Learn new areas of technology that our products are offered in.
  5. Handle overflow of internet orders as needed.
  6. Process mail orders as needed.
  7. Returns processing.
  8. Make occasional collection calls.
  9. Perform related and/or special work as assigned.

Skills Required: Self Starter, excellent communication skills, analytical, customer service experience, computer skills.
