Here’s a thought to brighten your day—perhaps your whole life!

Happiness… we long for it; we work for it. But every time we think we have it, it’s gone—like a soap bubble in a child’s eager grasp.

Happiness is more than a much-too-short vacation or even our “dream come true.” Real happiness is a quality of life that comes from God alone.

Only Jesus Christ, the Son of God, can promise: “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” (John 10:10). “Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).

Christ’s offer is no false hope of a life of ease, but His power to remove your burden of sin, His presence to share the joys and trials of each day.

Through Christ’s death on the cross, He offers “redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins” (Colossians 1:14). By His resurrection He provides a new way of living with God now and throughout eternity.

You can have this new life today. Receive Jesus as your Savior. He will not fail you.

“And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life” (1 John 5:11-12).
