Full Text

Morning on the third day . . . the gloom and the chill of Friday are gone. The angel has rolled the stone away and announced, “He is not here . . . He has risen” (Matthew 28:6). The world bursts into life again. The Son has risen!

Jesus proclaimed, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die” (John 11:25-26).

Because of the empty tomb, you and I can have the assurance of eternal life. Death could not keep our Savior in the grave—the One who gave His life to save us from our sins has triumphed over death. Jesus’ death and resurrection opened the way for all who believe in Him to experience true life in the presence of God Almighty.

Rejoice, for He has risen!
