Why is sin so serious?

Sin is no laughing matter! Sin is putting yourself first, and not behaving as God wants us to.

Sin is “missing the mark,” like a soccer player who can’t make a goal.

It means falling short of the rules God has set!

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23

Q: What can be done about our sin?

Jesus Christ is God’s answer to our sin!

Jesus died to pay the price for our sin. Three days later he came back to life to prove he really was God’s son!

When we trust that Jesus died for our sin, we are forgiven and enter God’s family forever.

“Everyone who believes in (Jesus) receives forgiveness of sins through His name.” Acts 10:43

Here’s a prayer that hits the goal!

Dear God, I’m sorry for the bad things I’ve done, called sins. Please forgive me. I believe Jesus died for me on the cross. And I believe He rose again to give me a new life, which begins TODAY! Amen.
