4 Things Pro-life Christians Must Do in a Post-Roe World

Make a Real Difference

In a post-Roe world, pro-lifers need to do four things. Number one, we need to be very clear on what our case for life is. We need to be able to argue that case in a way that will persuade unchurched people.

Number two, and this is a big one, we need to puncture misconceptions. A lot of people now think that with Roe v. Wade gone, they can’t get life-saving surgery for miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy. This is completely false. There’s not one pro-life law on the books anywhere that would deny women life-saving essential treatment.

The Case for Life

The pro-life message can compete in the marketplace of ideas, provided Christians properly understand and articulate that message. Featuring additional content, this second edition helps pro-life Christians make a persuasive case for the lives of the unborn.

The third thing we need to do is that we need to establish pro-life churches. Pro-life churches play a vital role in not only equipping believers to make a case for life but in ministering to those wounded by abortion who may desperately need healing through the gospel. They also play a vital role in helping make sure that our people know how to engage, and that means pastors have to preach, teach, and counsel a biblical view of human value.

We need to be very clear on what our case for life is.

Then the fourth thing we need to be doing in a post-Roe world is that we need to lavishly support our pregnancy centers and our own communities. These are the organizations that love on women and care for women and say to women, “Look, we want you to know that abortion is not your only way out. We’re here for you. We’re here for your children.”

If we do those four things in a post-Roe world, I think pro-life Christians are well-situated to make a real difference.
