Why Every Serious Atheist Should Be a Moral Nihilist

Inconsistency Abounds

I think that every consistent atheist ought to be a moral nihilist. And some are. But it's very few, and those who are don’t generally live out their nihilism.

I’ve just never seen anybody live out a consistent nihilism—a sort of "anything goes" morality. There’s just not a consistency there.

It would be ugly. But at least it would be honest.
