Let’s summarize where these 31 days of readings have brought us…

Jesus Christ, God’s one and only Son, willingly substituted himself for mankind and took the death sentence that we deserved for our sins. His act of love and grace makes it possible for us to be forgiven and receive God’s gift of eternal life! But we must agree that we have sinned against God and could never save ourselves from eternal punishment. We must believe the only way to God is through belief in Jesus Christ.

We must agree with God to give up anything else we have been trusting in and throw ourselves completely on his grace. That means believing that we can be saved from sin’s penalty and receive the gift of eternal life only through Christ’s death and resurrection. God doesn’t offer another plan, just this one!

Forgiveness and new life begin the moment of trust, for God wants each new believer to find spiritual fulfillment and a whole new way of life as members of his “family.” And he promises his own a future home in heaven!

If you have experienced a renewed love for Christ’s work on the cross and gratefulness for your salvation, take this opportunity to thank God for his grace and the redeeming work of his Son.
Or if for the first time you understand your need for God’s forgiveness and are convinced of his ability to change your life so you can please Him, you can express your new-found belief to him right now, right where you are.

Express your hearfelt desire with words like these,

“Dear God, I am grateful for the sacrifice of your Son, Jesus, for me, so that my sins against you can be forgiven. I do believe that Jesus died in my place and rose again. I want to receive your offer of forgiveness and eternal life and become part of your family.”
