Glenn Harrington: Be Truthful, Not Original

Receiving the World that God Has Made

In this six-minute documentary, award-winning painter Glenn Harrington recounts his own journey toward becoming an artist, reflecting on the unique beauty of the natural world, the “language” of painting, and how art and faith can inform each other.

Inspired by C. S. Lewis’s oft-cited admonition that artists seek to be truthful rather than original, Harrington’s art can be seen on the covers of over six hundred books—including Andrew Fuller and The Innkeeper by John Piper—and in many international publications, including The New York Times, American Arts Quarterly, International Artist Magazine, and The Philadelphia Inquirer.
