Preach, Train, and Minister
Pastors can speak the truth of Jesus into the everyday stuff of life by preaching. Oftentimes, pastors get away with preaching something other than the gospel. So, first of all, practice regularly preaching the gospel when your people gather together.
Second, encourage your congregation to see themselves not as the people who get ministered to, but who become ministers of the gospel themselves.
And then third, create opportunities for people to get regular training by being in communities that speak the gospel to one another, or getting resources that teach them how to speak the gospel to one another, and then practicing doing it in the community of believers to really know the gospel.
God's not calling you to be a nice person only—he's calling you to be a Gospel-proclaiming person.
God is the one who does the work of saving people, not us.
In many ways the gospel is like a new language—it takes time.
