Everyday Discipleship

What does discipleship look like in your church?

In this video, pastor Jeff Vanderstelt recalls the mission that Christ left his followers before his ascension: making disciples of all nations. Today, many people think of discipleship as simply a class or a Bible study. But when you look at the life of Jesus, you realize that discipleship was an all-of-life thing.

Discipleship is leading people to increasingly submit all of life to the empowering presence and lordship of Jesus Christ. That means that we can't make disciples at a once-a-week event; rather, it's a life-on-life activity that involves all members of the body of Christ.
