Available for both iOS and Android devices, the free app features the full text of the ESV Bible; streaming audio for any passage; the ability to save personal notes, highlights, and bookmarks; and much more.

What’s New for iPhone and iPad

The ESV Bible app for iPhone and iPad has been refined and updated in a number of ways and now features significantly more free content. This update includes:

  • 60+ free reading plans featuring content from well-known Bible teachers such as Jen Wilkin, Paul Tripp, Nancy Guthrie, Kevin DeYoung, Gloria Furman, and more
  • Theme options (White, Sepia, and Black) that now mirror ESV.org
  • Improved and refined design and animations
  • Library resources are now organized in categories (Study Bibles, Commentaries & Sermons, Devotionals, and Other)
  • Text readability has been improved throughout the app

What’s New for Android

Today we’re excited to announce a major update to the ESV Bible app for Android. The app has been completely redesigned and now closely mirrors the design of both ESV.org and the ESV Bible app for iOS. This update also includes:

  • Free audio streaming for any passage (internet connection required)
  • New theme options (White, Sepia, and Black) that mirror ESV.org
  • Personal notes, highlights, and bookmarks now sync with ESV.org

We also look forward to making continued adjustments in the coming days so that the app is as intuitive and useful as possible.
