Edward L. Smither (PhD, University of Wales-Trinity St. David; PhD, University of Pretoria) serves as the dean of the School of Missions and Intercultural Ministry and professor of the history of global Christianity at Columbia International University. His previous books include Christian Mission: A Concise Global History and John Stott: A Facilitator of Global Missional Theology. Smither previously served in cross-cultural ministry in North Africa, France, and the United States.
