Can you imagine being stuck in a giant spider web—invisible strings tickling your face and twisting around your arms and legs? Yuck! The more you struggle against the sticky web, the more trapped you become. Someone would have to rescue you, or you would be stuck forever!

Did you know that’s how the Bible describes sin (the bad things we do)? When we do something we know we shouldn’t, the Bible says that we’ve fallen into the “trap of the devil” (2 Timothy 2:26). Satan (the devil) is like a giant spider that tries to trick us into his web. When we fall into his trap, our sin “entangles” us, and there is nothing we can do to free ourselves (Hebrews 12:1, Titus 3:5).

But God loves us so much that He made a way to untangle us from Satan’s web. He sent His Son, Jesus, to die on a cross, then rise to life again to break the power of sin. If we are sorry for our sins, we can ask Jesus to come into our lives and free us.

Would you like to be free of Satan’s trap? You can ask God to save you today. Just say to Him with all your heart: Dear God, I’m sorry for the wrong things I’ve done. Thank You for sending Jesus to free me from my sin. Please come into my life and help me live for You. Amen.
